The Hostages Square is the name given to the square between the Beit Ariela Library and the Tel Aviv Museum, after the Hamas attack on the settlements surrounding Gaza on October 7, 2023, an attack in which more than 1,100 people from Israel were killed and 251 were kidnapped to the Gaza Strip.
In this square, protest activity focused mainly on the families of the abductees, and to the statues that are usually found there, presentations, protest camps were added, and a large protest demonstration was held every Saturday night, calling on the Israeli government to make a deal in which the abductees would be returned.
