The English Heritage Trust is a charity that cares for over 400 historical buildings, monuments and other places.

The sign is on the wall of the house where the British physicist of Hungarian origin Dennis Gabor (1900-1979) lived. Gabor is known as the one who invented the technology of holography (creating three-dimensional photography), for which he won the Nobel Prize in Physics (1971).
Gabor is commemorated on the Nobel Laureates Promenade in Rishon Lezion, Israel, this is due to his being Jewish (albeit a convert) Click for sign's details
