Ce jardin est un îlot de fraîcheur. Des espaces de détente alternent avec un jardin pédagogique et partagé ouvert à toutes les générations (enfants de la crèche, habitants de la résidence Madeleine-Béjart, adolescents...) et aux personnes en situation de handicap. La pelouse est accessible et un salon de lecture ponctué de nombreux bancs et assisdebout invite au repos. Afin de préserver la biodiversité, l’autre partie du jardin, la plus végétalisée, est inaccessible. Tout est fait pour attirer les insectes: plantes mellifères et indigènes d’île-de-France, hôtel à insectes, nichoir à passereaux... De nombreuses plantes couvre-sol courent aux pieds des 16 arbres. Dans ce «<jardin comestible» grâce à ses 11 arbres fruitiers, vous trouverez des allées en granit où s’échappent des brins d’herbe, ce qui les rend perméables à la pluie. Son nom rend hommage à Berthe Weill (1865-1951), première marchande d’art à dédier sa galerie à l’avant-garde moderne. En vendant les œuvres de Picassò à Paris, elle apporte un soutien important à l’artiste encore inconnu. Il réalisera son portrait en 1921, une œuvre majeure.

This garden is an island of freshness. Relaxation areas alternate with an educational and shared garden open to all generations (children from the crèche, residents of the Madeleine-Béjart residence, adolescents, etc.) and to people with disabilities. The lawn is accessible and a reading room punctuated with numerous benches and standing seats invites you to rest. In order to preserve biodiversity, the other part of the garden, the most planted, is inaccessible. Everything is done to attract insects: honey and native plants from Ile-de-France, insect hotel, sparrow nest box... Numerous ground cover plants run at the foot of the 16 trees. In this “<edible garden” thanks to its 11 fruit trees, you will find granite paths where blades of grass escape, making them permeable to rain. Its name pays homage to Berthe Weill (1865-1951), the first art dealer to dedicate her gallery to the modern avant-garde. By selling Picasso’s works in Paris, she provided important support to the still unknown artist. He painted her portrait in 1921, a major work.
