Comments:
The sign is near the staircase left from the previous London Bridge - a bridge built in 1831. In 1968, the bridge was sold to an American for about 2.5 million dollars, and the bridge was entirely moved to Arizona, United States. A new bridge was built instead Click for sign's details
This place is also described in Charles Dickens’ book Oliver Twist as the place where Nancy was murdered by her burglar friend Bill Sykes.

The place was photographed on the same day Click for a larger image
