THE PARK OF THE TWENTY
Architect Richard Kaufmann designed the park with two symmetrical parts and a central path descending the hill, with vegetation typical to the region. After the establishment of the State of Israel, it was named the Park of the Twenty, to commemorate twenty local residents, killed during the 1948 war. Their names are engraved on the tombstone, designed by the neighborhood resident, the artist Ze’ev Raban.
