Comments:
On August 24, the forces of General Philippe Leclerc advanced towards Paris in order to liberate it.
Leclerc learned that Paris police chief Charles Luizet wanted to speak with him.
Leclerc sent him a message "Hold on, we’re coming." The message was dropped from a light plane (Piper) by two pilots Callet and Mantoux. The message was dropped in this place, in front of the police headquarters.
