The plaque is on the headquarters of the Paris Police Prefecture and commemorates the heroic stand of the policemen from Paris in the battle for the liberation of the city between the dates August 19-26, 1944.
The sign was placed in 2014 on the 70th anniversary of the battle for the liberation of Paris.
