Welcome to Alexandra Park Local Nature Reserve
With over 196 acres of parkland, 150 years of history and unparalleled views of the capital, theres no park quite like Alexandra Park. Beginning life as a dairy farm, the Park was opened in 1863 and designed by renowned landscape architect Alexander McKenzie.
Fast forward to the present day and the Park now welcomes 2 - 3 million visitors a year offering a wide variety of activities from festivals to farmers markets, as well as providing a peaceful green space for wildlife conservation and for people to relax.
Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust is responsible for upholding, maintaining and repairing the Palace and maintaining the Park as a place of public resort and recreation by Act of Parliament.
The Trust undertakes some of its activities on a commercial basis to provide essential income to deliver the charitable purposes.
