The statue made by Carl Kundmann was placed in 1872. The statue is dedicated to the famous Austrian composer Franz Schubert, who in his short life managed to compose hundreds of works, among them the unfinished symphony, symphonies, works for piano and especially a huge number of songs (leads), more than 600.
