René Sahors, who fought in World War I, later became secretary of the secret section of ARAC - Association républicaine des anciens combattants - Association of Republican War Veterans. He was imprisoned in 1940 and managed to escape from his imprisonment. In November 1941 he was arrested again, sentenced to death by a German court, and executed by shooting in 1942.
