Translation of the text on the sign:

Ficus Avenue

Ficus Avenue. It was planted in 1937 by David Kasten, the first gardener of Givat-Brenner and his fellow pioneers. The boulevard, beginning at the ’Circle’ tree, goes down to the slopes of the neighborhood - and opens towards the fields. In the act of planting, the realization of the idea of dividing the young settlement into neighborhoods by avenues of ornamental trees used for pedestrians as well as for horse-drawn carriages began. While the sun beats down on their heads, thefounders dreamed of the shade of the trees and the heather.
