אולמוס קטן עלים

העלים אמנם קטנים יותר מאשר באולמוס הנמוך (עץ מס. 25 Click for sign's details), אך צורתם דומה, לדוגמה שוליהם המשוננים. שני מיני אולמוס אלה הם היחידים בקמפוס והיחידים הנפוצים בישראל.

Natural range: China, Korea, Japan

The leaves, though smaller than in the Siberian elm (tree 25 Click for sign's details), show the same traits; for instance, both have saw-toothed edges. These are the only two elm species on campus, and the only two commonly planted in Israel.

You can see three other elms on your left, within 20 meters of here. Based on their larger leaves, you can identify these as Siberian elms.
