במקום זה שכן מרכז הקשר של
ה- Palestine Mobile Force (PMF).
בה’ באייר תש"ז 25.4.1947, החדירן לשם שני לוחמי חרות ישראל (לח"י):
יששכר הוברמן (יענקלה) ורחמים אלבלק (ג’ימי),
במסווה של טכנאי טלפון, מכונית ממלוכדת. עם הפעלת המטען נהרס המרכז ונפגעו מספר שוטרים בריטים.

The Communications Center of the
Palestine Mobile Force (PMF)
was located in this building.
On April 25, 1947,
Isaschar Huberman and
Rahamim Albalak,
two Lehi fighters posing as telephone repairmen, managed to drive a car bomb into the compound. Its denotation led to the destruction of the center and several casualties among the British policemen.

The sign is rectangular but its head is designed according to the emblem of the city of Tel Aviv

The sign is currently in the Kriya base complex

At the bottom of the sign is a QR code, which is part of Sarona’s history documentation project The Lehi attack on the British Communication headquarters in Sarona
