פסל זה הוא מחווה ל"אדם הוויטרובי" של לאונרדו דה וינצ’י, בשילוב עם מוטיב הקרונית ופסי המתכת שחזר ביצירותיו של תומרקין בסוף שנות השמונים ובשנות התשעים של המאה העשרים. בשנים אלה שילב תומרקין בפסליו קורות פלדה עם חיתוכים והטבעות של צורות מילים ואותיות.
תומרקין, צייר ופסל ישראלי (נולד ב 1933 בגרמניה), זכה בפרס ישראל לפיסול ב-2004.

هذا التمثال مستوحى من "الرجل مُدْمَحا الفيتروفي" لليوناردو دا فينشي مع موتيف العربات والقضبان المعدنية الذي تكرّر في أعمال توماركين في أواخر سنوات الثمانين وفي سنوات التسعين من القرن العشرين. كان توماركين في تلك السنوات, يستخدم في تماثيله القضبان الفولاذية مع تقطيعات ونقوش ذات أشكال لكلمات وحروف .
توماركين رسام ونحات إسرائيلي (ولد عام 1933 في ألمانيا). وقد فاز بجائزة إسرائيل للنحت عام 2004
Igael Tumarkin, "Vitruvian Man", 1990

This sculpture combines a homage to Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man with the cart and rail motif that recurred in Tumarkin’s works in the late 1980’s and in the 1990’s. During these years, Tumarkin used steel beams with engravings and impressions of letters and words in his sculptures.
Tumarkin, Israeli painter and sculptor (born in 1933, Germany) received the Israel Prize for sculpture In 2004.
