Comments:
The place where Garraway’s cafe was located, an institution that served as a gathering place and where important decisions were also made. The place was mainly used by the tea merchants and people of the South Sea Company.
The place was mentioned in the books of Charles Dickens and also Daniel Defoe (the author of Robinson Crusoe) mentioned this place as a meeting place for the wealthy merchants of London.

The illustration of the grasshopper on the sign is the family symbol of the merchant Thomas Gresham, who founded the Royal Stock Exchange of London.
