The sign is on the wall of Abbey Road Studios (best known for the recordings of the Beetles’ songs).
The studios were established in 1931 by the Gramophone Company (later called EMI), and were inaugurated with a recording by the English composer and conductor Edward Elgar, while conducting the London Symphony Orchestra playing his works.
