The Corpus Clock
designed by John C Taylor and inaugurated in 2008 by Stephen Hawking is exact every fifth minute
The clock also known as the "grasshopper clock" is a clock without numbers or hands, it shows the time by blue LED lights arranged in 3 circles (hours, minutes, seconds). Above the clock is a sculpture in the shape of a locust, which actually houses the mechanism of the clocks pendulum (escapement). The clock was introduced in 2008 by physicist Stephen Hawking.
Under the clock is an inscription from the First Epistle of John: MUNDUS TRANSIT ET CONCUPISCENTIA EIUS the world passeth away, and the lust thereof Click for a larger image
