THE NURSERY
In 1943, the kibbutz decided to build a nursery with two wings: the west wing served as a nursery, and the east wing served as a house for infants.
From birth, the infants were housed in a collective nursery, but at the age of two they began sleeping in their parents house. This was unusual in the kibbutz movement, which in those days favored children’s houses.
