במשלים מסופר על אריה שעצם שתקעה בגרונו. חסידה טובת לב הוציאה את העצם מגרונו. האריה שהבטיח לגמול לחסידה לא קיים את הבטחתו, וגידף את החסידה שבקשה את שכרה שהובטח לה. הקהל בחולון כעס על האריה והזמין משטרה שאסרה את האריה ברשת. האריה פרץ בבכי מר.
משל האריה והחסידה
לפתע בא עכבר קטן, שזכר את האריה לטובה על שלא הרג אותו כשטייל על אפו והעירו משנתו. האריה תפסו בכפו, אבל שחררו לחופשי.
העכבר כרסם ברשת עד שהאריה קפץ והופ לאפריקה ברח.
העכבר שמח כי את הבטחתו לעזור לאריה מילא. ראש העיר חולון אמר "העיר חולון מברכת אותך עכברנו היקר - עירנו עירך" והקהל החולוני שמח אתו. הילדה אֶילת אמרה: " אני נורא שמחה שבעירנו קורים דברים כאלה".

The fables tells of a lion that had a bone stuck in its throat. A kind-hearted stork took the bone out of his throat. The lion who promised to repay the stork did not keep his promise, and cursed the stork who asked for the reward he was promised. The crowd in Holon was angry with the lion and called the police, who arrested the lion with a net. The lion burst into bitter tears.

Suddenly a small mouse came, who remembered the lion well for not killing him when he walked on his nose and woke up from his sleep. The lion grabbed him by the palm, but set him free.
The mouse gnawed at the net until the lion jumped and Hop to Africa escaped.
The mouse is happy that his promise to help the lion is fulfilled. The mayor of Holon said "The city of Holon blesses you our dear mouse - our city is your city" and the Holon audience was happy with it. The girl Ayelet said: "I am very happy that such things are happening in our city."
