The mechanism mentioned on the sign was photographed that day by the same photographer

The Slick For approval for the construction of the "Hamra House" in 1943, two factors came together, a housing shortage of the young families forming in Naan and the slick exposures due to the cutting of the citrus trees above it.
The slick, whose concealment was sophisticated, is one of the blessed inventions of Itzik Shifris, Yeva ben Avraham and Yaakov ben Arieh, the wizards of the slick hides.
Naans weapon was not found by the British.
A pastoral pool of water, according to Feng Shui rules, shone on the small terrace behind the house. Silver and orange fish floated in stoic serenity in the small space.
Inside the pool stood the "stutzer" upright - the tip of a round faucet, innocent in appearance, which apparently had the purpose of opening the water to the pool. But in fact its activation opened the secret door to the slick.
The water-immersed faucet was fitted with gear to change direction and a long threaded rod that carried a 40 cm thick lid cart, on a rail under the floor to the slick opening. The upper part of the lid was paved like the floor of the house and when the opening was closed it was not known that it was coming into it.
Today they exist and / or are restored - the slick, the ladder, the rail, the threading rod, the fish pond is not (yet). As part of the story of the act, the special mechanism was restored in memory of days gone by and people who defended their home with sophistication before the war.
The permanent sign will show a drawing of the mechanism in detail.
Restoration of the slick opening mechanism was done by Danny Koren and Gadi Almog.
