The "Or" is a variety of tangerine, developed by Dr. Aliza Vardi at the Volcani Center. The variety was ranked first as an outstanding taste test in the world and managed to bring back to Israel important advantages in the global citrus market.

The "Barnea" olive variety was developed at the Volcani Center by Prof. Shimon Lavi. It is the first variety in the world developed for a modern and industrial farm. The variety excels in extremely high fruit and oil yields and is suitable for mechanical harvesting.
Today "Barnea" is known in the world as the best modern oil variety.
