Schinus molle
The second face of the cube] 2 California Pepper Tree Schinus molle
Natural range: Andes Mountains (S. America)
These dandgling leaves remain year-round. Small white flowers produce, in this female tree, delicate pink fruits with a peppery taste. In spite of its name, its neither a native Californian nor a member of the pepper family.
[הפאה השלישית של הקוביה] [The third face of the cube] [שאלה] האם המראה של גזע העץ מזכיר לך משהו? מה?
[a question] Does the look of this trees trunk remind you of anything? What?
[The Answer to the question] Some visitors say the trunk reminds them of: Something ancient and mysterious, a Sumo wrestler, bumps on the moon surface. (The "bumps" are growths, common in this species, cause unknown.)
