שם מדעי: Passiflora edulis
צמח מטפס, ממשפחת השעוניתיים, שבעברית נקרא גם שעונית נאכלת, משום שבעברית פריחת השיח דומה ללוח שעון. מקור השיח באמריקה הדרומית. לישראל הגיע באמצע המאה ה-20, שיח רב שנתי, גדל במהירות, פורח בפרחים גדולים לבנים עם אבקנים סגולים, רוב ימות השנה. הפרי שהוא בעל תכונות מרגיעות, ירוק/חום מבחוץ ובתוכו נוזל צהבהב עם גרעינים שחורים.
