ההסתדרות אחראית לשורה של צעדים פורצי דרך שעזרו להפוך את החברה הישראלית לחברה שוויונית וצודקת יותר. חובת ההפרשה לפנסיה והגנה על ציבור הגמלאים, שכר המינימום ועדכונו, שוויון זכויות לאנשים עם מוגבלות וחובת הייצוג הראוי בתעסוקה, מניעת אפליה בין מגדרים במקום העבודה, צמצום צורות העסקה פוגעניות והישגים רבים נוספים הם רק חלק מפירות ההצלחה של העבודה המאורגנת בישראל.

The Histadrut is responsible for a series of groundbreaking measures that have helped make Israeli society more egalitarian and just. The obligation to provide for pensions and protect the retired public, the minimum wage and its update, equal rights for people with disabilities and the duty of adequate representation in employment, prevention of gender discrimination in the workplace, reduction of abusive forms of employment and many other achievements are just some of the fruits of organized labor.
