The new Histadrut In 1994, the Histadrut underwent a structural change and changed its name to the "New Histadrut." Some of the bodies owned by it underwent a privatization process and the General Health Fund was separated from the Histadrut.
The core activity of the Histadrut was directed at the issues of the trade union and it continued to establish its status as the largest and most influential workers organization in the country.
