Modern Modiin-Maccabim-Reut In 1985, Maccabim was established by the global Maccabi movement, headed by Dr. Israel Peled, and Reut was established alongside it on the initiative of the IDF in order to provide a place for the security forces to serve.
In 1994 they began the development work of the municipal locality Modiin, in 1996 it was inhabited and recognized as a local council. In 2001, with the increase in population, Modiin was declared a city.
In 2003, it was decided to unite the settlements in the city of Modiin Maccabim Reut.
