The first well in Holon
The well was excavated in the Green neighborhood in 1931 by Pesach Golani (Golzer), who was an expert in digging wells. Next to it, Shlomo Green, the neighborhood’s founder, built a wooden tower with two large barrels that served as the water reservoir.
Pesach Golani and his wife lived in a building erected near the well, hiding a "slick" of the Haganah.
The well supplied water to the Green neighborhood and the nearby Am neighborhood.
