Born in the estate of Lososna, Grodno, Belarus (1865-1943), immigrated to Israel in 1892 He completed his engineering studies in Berlin before immigrating to Eretz Israel. Participated in the planning of the Technion and the Reali School in Haifa, the IEC building in Haifa, the train station in Haifa and more. He also designed Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa. He was also an industrialist and established the "Shemen" factory
