Born in Russia (1895-1976), immigrated to Israel in 1933. Studied architecture at the Royal Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia (1917). He designed a number of buildings in Germany until the Nazis came to power when he immigrated to Israel. In Israel, he designed the central station in Tel Aviv (1934-1941) in addition to residential buildings, and part of the "Agrobank" neighborhood in Holon. He also designed a number of buildings at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot.
