The sign is near the fence of the house where he lived - Israel Cohen, writer and translator, born in Ulashkivtsi, Ukraine (1905-1986), immigrated to Israel in 1925.
He wrote dozens of books, most of them non-fiction books, he also translated non-fiction books by well-known authors.
He was the editor of the weekly "HaPoel HaTzair"
He won the Brenner Prize (1962) and the Bialik Prize (1974).
Awarded with "Freedom of the City of Tel Aviv" (1982)
