המערכת האקולוגית הנמל היא מרחב מוגן מזרמי הים וגליו ועל כן מהווה בית גידול נוח לרבייה ולהסתתרות פרטים צעירים. שובר הגלים והרציפים משמשים במיוחד כמצע נוח לקליטת פגיות (לרוות), של אוכלוסיות חסרי החוליות ודגים בים התיכון.
בבית הגידול של הנמל ניתן למצוא דגים למיניהם כגון: ברקנים, חלילונים וסוסוני ים; חסרי חוליות כגון: תולעים רב זיפיות (כדוגמת תולעי זכוכית), מלפפוני ים, ספוגים, סרטנים, צדפות וחלזונות, תמנונים ודיונונים וגם אצות למיניהן.
בעלי הכנף בנמל כוללים שחפים, שקנאים, קורמורנים ושלדגים.
EcoSystems The Port is an area protected from the water currents and waves, and therefore it serves as a convenient habitat for reproduction and concealment of young creatures. The breakwater and piers serve as especially fitting growing sites for the populations of invertebrates’ larva of and fish in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Port’s habitat includes a variety of fish, such as: squirrelfish, bluespotted cornetfish, and sea horses; invertebrates such as: polychaeta (such as glass worms), sea cucumbers, sponges, crabs, clams and snails, octopuses and cuttlefish as well as a variety of alga.
Bird varieties in the Port include seagulls, pelicans, cormorants and kingfishers.
المنظومات البيئية المارينا حيّز محمي من التيارات البحرية وأمواجه من هنا فإنها تشكل بيتا مريحا لتكاثر الكائنات الصغيرة وقدرتها على الاستتار. يستخدم كاسر الأمواج والأرصفة في المقام الأول كمنصة مريحة لاستيعاب الكائنات الحية الصغرى التي تعيش في البحر الأبيض المتوسط وكائناته اللافقارية وسمكه.
في موطن الكائنات الحية بالمارينا يمكننا إيجاد أسماكا عدة: البريوني، والأنقليس وحصان البحر: واللافقاريات مثل الديدان الحلقية متعددة الأشواك كالديدان الزجاجية) والخيار البحري وحيوان الإسفنج والسلاطعين والصلاف والحلزون والأخطبوط والخبار ومختلف أنواع الطحالب.
أما الطيور التي يمكن ملاحظتها في المارينا فتشمل النورس والبجع والغاق وصياد السمك.
כללי איכות הסביבה בנמל יפו ובסביבתו 1. אין להשליך פסולת לים. שימו לב: גם פסולת אורגנית היא פסולת שהשלכתה לים מהווה עבירה על החוק. 2. יש להפריד פסולת למיחזור ולהשליכה רק למתקנים היעודיים לכך (ראו במפה). 3. אין להשאיר חפצים על הסיפון ועל רציפי הענינה. הרוח עלולה להעיף אותם לים ולזהם אותו. 4. אין להוציא שפכים ומי שיפוליים, אלא למיתקן הייעודי לכך (ראו במפה). 5. עדיף לכבס בעמדת מכונות הכביסה (ראו במפה). מי השטיפה מנוקזים באופן מוסדר. 6. פינויי שמנים ומצברים יעשה רק למיתקן הייעודי לכך (ראו במפה). 7. בעת תדלוק, הקפידו להספיג טפטופים ולנגב את הסיפון. 8. אסורה פעילות דייג אספו ציוד דייג פגום. בעלי חיים עלולים להיתפס ב"רשתות רפאים". 9. נשפך שמן או דלק לים? אל תנסו לנקות באמצעות כימיקלים. דווחו למנהל. 10. יש להשתמש בצבעי אנטי-פאולינג ידידותיים לסביבה השימוש בצבעים המכילים TBT אסור. 11. אסורה פעילות צביעה, השחזה, התזה, ניקוי חול/חלודה או ריתוך בשטח הרציפים. כל הנ"ל יכול להתבצע רק בשטח המספנה (ראו במפה). 12. כדי לשמור על משאבי הטבע - הקפידו לחסוך במים ובצריכת אנרניה. 13. נתקלתם במפגע בים, בבעל חיים במצוקה, או במישהו שמזהם את הים? - דווחו למוקד הסביבה *6911 (מוקד החרום של המשרד להגנת הסביבה). 14 שמרו על חוקי השייט והסביבה להפלגה בטוחה ונעימה.
Environmental Protection Rules at the Tel Aviv Port and its Surroundings 1. No waste may be thrown into the sea. Note: even organic waste is waste whose disposal into the sea is considered a legal offence. 2. Waste should be separated for recycling and disposed only in suitable designated containers in the Port (see map). 3. Do not leave objects on the deck or anchoring piers. The wind may blow them into the water and pollute the sea. 4. Waste and bilge water may only be disposed of in a designated container in the Port (see map). 5. It is preferable to wash clothes in the Port’s washing machines (see map), from which the rinsing water is drained properly. 6. Disposal of oils and batteries will be performed only in designated containers in the Port’s (see map). 7. During fueling, make sure to sponge up any spills and wipe the dock. 8. Collect and remove fishing equipment. Animals may be caught in "ghost nets". 9. Oil or fuel was spilled into the water? Do not try to clean it up chemically. Report the to the Port’s office. 10. Use environmentally friendly anti-fouling paint. The Use of paint containing TBT is prohibited. 11. Painting, grinding, spraying, sand/rust cleaning or welding are prohibited on the pier areas. (See map) 12. In order to protect natural resources, try to cut back in water and power consumption. 13. If you encountered an object in the sea, an animal in distress or a person polluting the sea, report this to the Environmental Call center - 6911" (Emergency call center of the Ministry of Environment Protection). 14. Observe sailing and environmental laws to ensure a safe and pleasant voyage.

תכנית הדגל הכחול לנמל זה ניתנה הכרה של "הדגל הכחול", הדגל הכחול הוא תו איכות סביבתי אשר ניתן למרינות העושות מאמץ מיוחד לנהל את המרינות תוך מתן כבוד לסביבה המקומית ולטבע, ומספקות למשתמשים במרינה מידע בנושאים סביבתיים על מנת להשיג את הכרת ה"דגל הכחול", על הנמל לעמוד במספר קריטריונים הנוגעים למידע וחינוך סביבתי, ניהול סביבתי, בטיחות המתקנים ושירות ואיכות המים.
הדגל הכחול מוענק ע"י ארגון FEE (Foundation of Enviromental Education), ארגון סביבה לא ממשלתי בינלאומי המיוצג בלעדית בישראל על ידי עמותת EcoOcean. ארגון ה-FEE הבינלאומי וארגון EcoOcean הלאומי בודקים את אתרי הדגל הכחול במשך העונה.
ההכרה ניתנת לעונה אחת והמענק בתוקף כל עוד ישנה עמידה בקריטריונים. כשזהו אינו המקרה, הגורמים האחראיים מחויבים להוריד את הדגל הכחול

The Blue Flag Program This port has been awarded a Blue Flag. The Blue Flag is an environmental award given to marinas making a special effort to implement sound management with respect to the local environment and nature, and providing users with information on environmental issues. To attain the Blue Flag, the marina has to comply with a number of criteria concerning environmental information and educationy, environmental management, safety and service facilities, and water quality.
The Blue Flag is awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), a nongovernmental environmental organization and is represented in Israel by the non-governmental organization EcoOcean. The Blue Flag is only awarded for one season at a time and the award is only valid as long as the criteria are fulfilled.
When this is not the case, the persons responsible at local level must remove the Blue Flag The international FEE organization and the national EcoOcean organization conducts control visits to the Blue Flag sites during the season.
You can help the program by also taking action to protect the environment, please follow instructions of the code of conduct at the marina.
You can join the Blue Flag as well by joining the Blue Flag for boat owners program.
