Translation of the text on the sign:
This house was built in 1909
By the late Yeshayahu Press from the founders of the Zichron Moshe neighborhood, from the founders of the Teachers’ Union in Israel, from the founders of the Hebrew Society for the Study of the Land of Israel and its Antiquities, from the founders of the "Bnei Brit" order in Israel. Educator, researcher and writer, author of the encyclopedia Eretz Yisrael and many publications on the study of the land in general and Jerusalem in particular.

His wife, the late Miriam Press, was one of the few female writers in Israel at the end of the 19th century who wrote in Hebrew.

May their memory be blessed.
