A point on the walk of fame of the Apollo Theater Click for sign's details, a theater located in Harlem New York and is a major performance hall for African-American artists.
The track commemorating artists who performed in the hall, was made by the studio of the artist Greg Le Fabre. The first plates were placed in 2010

The current plaque is dedicated to the soul singer Aretha Franklin (1942-2018), who was called the "queen of soul".
She has won about 20 Grammy Awards, is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom (one of the two highest civilian decorations in the United States), and has many other awards.
