The English Heritage Trust is a charity that cares for over 400 historical buildings, monuments and other places.

The sign is on the wall of the house where the poet Jane Wilde lived (Jane Francesca Agnes, Lady Wilde) (1821-1896)
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Wilde was an Irish poet who wrote under the pen name "Speranza".
She was active in the movement for Irish independence, as well as an activist for women’s rights.
Jane Wilde is the mother of Oscar Wilde.
