The monument in the courtyard of the Great Synagogue of Budapest was made by Imre Varga, and on each of the willow leaves is engraved the name of one of the Jews of Budapest who perished in the Holocaust. The verse that appears at the top of the monument is from Lamentations, chapter 1.
