לזכרם של 157 אמריקנים נוצרים אוהבי ציון, שהגיעו על סיפון האניה "נלי צ’פין" מג’ונספורט שבמדינת מיין בארצות הברית וירדו כאן, בחוף יפו, ביום 22 בספטמבר 1866, כשעמם בתי עץ אשר שמשו להקמת המושבה האמריקנית ביפו.
