Avenida Brasil
Antiga via de ligação entre a Foz do Douro e Bouças (Matosinhos), a partir de 1775 aparece com, as designações de Carreiro d’ipia, Carreiro Mau, Molhe de Carreiros,ou simplesmente Carreiros. A República rebaptizou a de Avenida do Brasil. A abertura da estrada, em 1864, permitiy a construção dos primeiros chalets e casas. O paredão, ou o Molhe, foi projectado em 1838, construído em 1869, prolongado em 1882, tendo sido gradeado em 1884. Na década de 1920, ergueram se a Pergola e a balaustrada e, entre 1929-30, foi electrificada a zona do Molhe.

It links Foz do Douro and Matosinhos and was called Avenida de Carreiros before it was renamed Avenida do Brasil with the coming of the Republic. The road was opened im 1864, which allowed the buildings of houses from the end of the 19th century. The seawall was planned in 1838 and built between 1869 and 1884. The pergole and the railings date from the 1920’s. Electric lighting was added in 1929-30.
