Comments:
The plaque is on the site of Palace of Placentia also known as Greenwich Palace. The palace that was established in the time of Henry VI, and rebuilt in the time of Henry VII (founder of the Tudor dynasty). It was then used as the seat of the Kings of England, where Kings Henry VIII, Mary I and Elizabeth I were born.

The sign was placed in 1983 on the occasion of the 450th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth I
