The plaque is on the site of Palace of Placentia also known as Greenwich Palace. The palace that was established in the time of Henry VI, and rebuilt in the time of Henry VII (founder of the Tudor dynasty). It was then used as the seat of the Kings of England, where Kings Henry VIII, Mary I and Elizabeth I were born.
