Click for sign's details In the current plate appears the famous theorem of the Italian physicist and mathematician Galileo Galilei (1642-1564).
Galileo, who was one of the first telescope builders, studied the universe and the stars of the sky, discovered the sunspots, the moons of Jupiter, and more. He came to the conclusion that the earth is not the center of the universe, and that the heavenly bodies do not revolve around it.
The current saying is attributed to Galileo Galilei after he came out of the trial of the Inquisition in which he retracted his scientific views, including the one that the earth revolves around the sun. In this saying it is claimed that despite everything, the earth moves around the sun.
The Italian source of the saying also appears in the pavement
