הקליניקה - המרפאה הציבורית

מבנה הקליניקה בן שתי הקומות הוקם בשנת 1911 לזכרו של יעקב אברמוביץ’, שבשנת 1902 נרצח במושבה על ידי ערבי מיפו, ולזכר בתו רחל, שמתה בילדותה. הבית נבנה במימונם של מנחם מנדל ומרדכי אברמוביץ’ (אביו ואחיו של יעקב אברמוביץ’) בשיתוף ועד המושבה. על הבית שתי כתובות הקדשה ועוגנים בצורת האותיות העבריות מ.א ו-י .א – ראשי התיבות של שמותיהם של מנחם מנדל ויעקב אברמוביץ’.
בקומה הראשונה היו שתי חנויות שכספי השכירות שלהן פרנסו את בית "הכנסת אורחים" (אכסניה לעוברי אורח עניים), שהקימו מנחם מנדל אברמוביץ’ ובנו מרדכי ברחוב נחמה הסמוך.
הקומה השנייה של הבית שימשה את המרפאה הציבורית של המושבה עד שנת 1980. בשנת 1982 נפתחה במבנה זה התערוכה הראשונה של מוזאון ראשון-לציון.

The Public Clinic

The two storey clinic was built in 1911 in memory of the late Yakov Abramovitch, murdered in the settlement by an Arab from Yafo in 1902, and in memory of his daughter Rachel. Construction was funded by Menahem Mendel and Mordechai Abramovitch (Yakov’s father and brother respectively) and the settlement committee. Made of iron, the initials of Menahem and Yakov Abramovitch are embedded on the facade as well as two dedications signs made of stone. The second storey served as the settlement’s public clinic.
The first storey held two shops, the rent from which funded a hostel for poor travelers. The hostel was established by Menahem Mendel and Mordechai Abramovitch in adjacent Nehama Street.
The clinic operated in until 1980. In 1982 the first Rishon LeZion Museum exhibition opened in the structure. The building is a preservation site.
