THE PARACHUTE WAS RIGID, MADE OF CANVAS STRETCHED OVER A FRAMEWORK OF WHALEBONE RIBS AND BAMBOO STRETCHERS ATTACHED BY A COPPER TUBE TO A WICKER BASKET.
