ANGLO Palestine bank (APC)

A unique historic building from 1925, designed by architect Alexander Berwald, originally meant to be the head office of the Anglo Palestine Bank in Haifa. After the establishment of the State of Israel, it became Bank Leumi.
The façade is decorated with reliefs of ancient Jewish coins signifying the historic connection of the Jewish people to its country. In 1940 a third story was added to the building, and in 1955 was added the west wing, retaining the character of the original structure.
