בית משפחת שחר
חיים דב שחר (1930-1891), היה מזכיר ועד החינוך בוועד הצירים, ציר אסיפת הנבחרים, מורה ועורך האנציקלופדיה לתלמידים "לוח החבר". דבורה רעיתו, בת עקיבא וייס, המתכנן של שכונת אחוזת בית, שהיתה לימים תל אביב, הייתה מורה בבית ספר לבנות לֶמֶל, מן הראשונות בירושלים. שניהם נמנו עם מייסדי בית הכרם. ביתם בולט במיקומו במעלה המגרש ולו גג רעפים וחלונות בעלי קשתות מחודדות. המרפסת מוקפת מעקה מעוטר, הצופה אל המגרש. רחוב שחר הסמוך נקרא על שמם.

منزل عائلة شَجَر
حاييم دوف شَحَر (۱۸۹۱-۱۹۳۰) كان معلّم ومؤلف موسوعة مصغرة بالعبرية للطلاب. زوجته دبورا بنت الناشط الصهيوني ومصمم حي أحوزات بيت الذي كان الأساس لمدينة تل أبيب، كانت معلمة. كان كلاهما من مؤسسي بيت .هكرم. يتميز بيتهم بموقعه في أعلى قطعة الأرض، وسقف القرميد والنوافذ ذات الأقواس الشرفة محاطة بدرابزين مزخرف

SHACHAR FAMILY HOME
Haim Dov Shachar (1891-1930) was a Zionist activist and teacher, who wrote an encyclopedia for pupils. His wife Deborah was a teacher at the Lemmel girls’ school. Both were among the founders of Belt Ha-Kerem. Their house, with a tiled roof, arched windows, and decorated railing on the front porch, is located at the top of the lot.

The sign shape is rectangular but its head is designed according to the silhouette of the old building of the Gymnasia Herzliya, which serves as a logo of the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites in Israel
