AFGHANISTAN

The memorial commemorates the British soldiers and citizens who fell in Iraq and Afghanistan, during the Gulf War, and the battles in Iraq and Afghanistan between 1990-2015.
On the round metal relief in the center of the monument are soldiers ready for battle.

On the other side of the monument are the words:
DUTY
SERVICE
and a metal plate with a relief of British aid to citizens (on the food packages it says UK aid)

Around the base of the monument is the text:
IN RECOGNITION OF ALL BRITISH MILITARY PERSONNEL AND UK CIVILIANS WHO SERVED AND WORKED IN IRAQ 1990 – 2009 AND AFGHANISTAN 2001 – 2015.
