פסיפס השלום
במהלך 2016, החלה עבודת הפסיפס שלפניכם, בהובלת האמן דוד וקשטיין יחד עם תלמידים, מורים ואנשי קהילה יהודים, נוצרים ומוסלמים, מבאר שבע וסביבתה.
גודל היצירה כ-105 מ"ר, והיא עשויה כולה אבני פסיפס היצירה מציגה את רוח העיר באר שבע, המשלבת בתוכה מיזוג תרבויות, סובלנות ואחווה הדדית. תהליך יצירת הפסיפס כלל צילומים אישיים וקבוצתיים של המוצגים. אשר יצרו את דיוקנם האישי בפסיפס, במסגרת מפגשים אומנותיים, ולקחו חלק ביצירה משמעותית משותפת ומרתקת. מיקומו של פסיפס השלם במרכז מבקרים בינלאומי באר אברהם, בקרבה לבאר המקראית. זו מוזכרת בספר בראשית, כמקום בו נחתמה ברית שלום, בין אברהם לאבימלך מלך גרר - השלום הראשון המתועד בהיסטוריה האנושית. בכך מעבירה היצירה מסר של שלום, פיוס ואהבת אדם.

فسيفساء السلام
خلال عام 2015، بدأت أشغال الفسيفساء التي أمامكم بقيادة الفنان دافيد فكشطاين وطلاب ومعلمين ونشطاء يهود ومسيحيين ومسلمين، من بئر السبع وضواحيها .
مساحة العمل الفني 105 متر من حجارة الفسيفساء. أتعرض اللوحة مدينة بئر السبع، وتدمج ثقافات وتسامحا ومؤاخاة.
شمل إنتاج لوحة الفسيفساء صوراً فردية وجماعية لمن تعرضهم الصورة، وتظهر صورهم في اللوحة في إطار لقاءات فنية، وشاركوا بشكل ملموس في هذا العمل الفني المشترك والمثير. تقع لوحة" فسيفساء السلام" ام" في مركز الزوار الدولي بئر إبراهيم بالقرب من البئر التوراتية. وذكرت في سفر التكوين على أنها الموقع الذي تم فيه التوقيع على اتفاقية سلام بين إبراهيم وأبيمالك ملك جرار - أول سلام تم توثيقه في تاريخ البشرية. وبذلك يقدم هذا العمل الفني رسالة سلام ومصالحة وحب الإنسان.

The Peace Mosaic
During 2015, artist David Wakstein and school children, teachers and members of the Jewish, Christian and Muslim communities of Be’er-Sheva and the surrounding area began work on the mosaic portrait before you.
The 105 sq.m. creation, made entirely of mosaic tiling stones, represents the spirit of the city of Be’er-Sheva, which embraces integration of cultures, tolerance and brotherhood. The creation process included photographing the participants, after which, in guided art sessions, they created mosaic self-portraits, as well as all of them taking part in the exciting total creation. "The Peace Mosaic is displayed here adjacent to the Biblical well mentioned in Genesis, where the first documented peace treaty in human history was signed, between Abraham and Abimelech, king of Grar. From this fitting venue, the unique creation sends a message of peace, reconciliation and love of one’s fellow human being.
