גן רמז
גן ייחודי בעיר העתיקה הנקרא על שמו של דוד רמז (1886–1951), חבר כנסת ושר בממשלת ישראל, מפעילי תנועת העבודה. רמז עמד בראש חברת ’סולל בונה’, היה חבר מועצת עיריית תל-אביב, מזכיר ההסתדרות הכללית וראש הוועד הלאומי. ב- 1946 נאסר בידי הבריטים ב’שבת השחורה’ ונכלא בכלא לטרון. רמז נמנה על חותמי מגילת העצמאות, היה לשר התחבורה הראשון בממשלת ישראל וכיהן כשר החינוך והתרבות.
בגן התקיימו במהלך השנים אירועים רבים וב– 1995 נערכה הביאנלה לקרמיקה במסגרתה הוצגו בגן פסלים ייחודיים. בשנת 2017 עבר הגן תהליכי חידוש ופיתוח וכיום משמש שטח ציבורי פתוח לקהל הרחב.

Remez Garden
Named after David Remez (1886-1951), Labor Party activist, MK and Minister in the Israeli government. He headed ’Solel Boneh’ Co., was a Tel-Aviv City Councilman, Histadrut Labor Union General Secretary, and later chaired the National Committee. Remez signed the Israeli ’Declaration of Independence’, serving as Israel’s first Transportation Minister, and later Education and Culture Minister. Many events have been held in the garden such as the Ceramics. Biennial in 1995, in which unique sculptures were displayed.
In 2017 it was renovated and re-landscaped, and is now open to the public.

The sign is part of a series of signs describing historical buildings in Beer Sheva.
