Comments:
The sign is in the place where he probably lived between 1942-1944. Charles de Gaulle, leader of the "Free France" in World War II, and later the first president of the French Republic. De Gaulle moved to London in 1940 when he escaped from France which was under occupation, and from London he led the war against the Germans.
