1950-1953 Establishment of a transit camp east of the village of Ono, with 300 families immigrating from Iraq, Morocco, Yemen, Libya, Tunisia and Romania. The families lived in tents and a year later were housed in barracks and faced with overcrowding, flooding, lack of electricity and extreme cold.
