The monument commemorates the victims of the ship "Egoz" that was used to bring Moroccan Jews to Israel and operated through the "Mossad" and the Jewish underground in Morocco. The ship sank in 1961 and all 44 of its passengers sank.

Click for a larger image The words "Egoz", "Yachin" and "Gonen" appear on the monument. "Egoz" - named after the ship, "Yachin" - the operation to raise Moroccan Jews, "Gonen" - a branch of the Jewish underground in Morocco (called " HaMisgeret" (The Framework)).
As well as the words "at sea in the air and on land" - describing the ways in which Moroccan Jews were brought to Israel.
The monument was erected in 2016 on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the sinking of the ship
