The English Heritage Trust is a charity that cares for over 400 historical buildings, monuments and other places.
The sign is dedicated to Sister Nivedita who was born Margaret Elizabeth Noble, an Irish teacher who traveled to Calcutta, India where she established a school for girls whose purpose was to provide education to those who lacked basic education. In addition she had a part in the movement for independence for India.
